Jazz in the Park 2019: Alabama concert series returns with 29 free shows

Alabama's Jazz in the Park series has scheduled 29 concerts in 2019, in cities ranging from Marion to Huntsville.

Jazz in the Park is celebrating its 10th year in Alabama, presenting free concerts in Birmingham and several other cities. A total of 29 shows are on the agenda, Saturday through Oct. 13, featuring artists such as Bo Berry, Ves Marable, P.J. Spraggins, Vann Burchfield, Take 7, Dee Lucas, Deirdre Gaddis and more.

Here’s the schedule announced by organizer Magic City Smooth Jazz:

April 6, 6 p.m.-9 p.m., Marion Military Institute Jazz Band and Ryan Schultz, Jazz on the Square, Perry County Courthouse, Washington Street at Green Street, Marion.
